Brock

Brock is almost done with soccer. I have to admit he started off motivated but ended up messing around and not focusing towards the end of the "season". Brock is loving everything about school-from the bus rides to recess and hot lunch to his teacher and lessons. I am very happy that he is happy. He is currently collecting bugs with a net provided by his teacher...I dont know what for, but they need to be dead when they come to school in the jar.

Bad Hair Day

So a little vent.

I have had one particular hair cut about half a dozen times in my life. Thats about 6 different hair dressers that I asked for the same thing...and low and behold I got the same thing. It was practically the same every time. Noooo...not this time. I am ticked. I have gone to three hairdressers in Santaquin and one in Payson and have had four of the worst hair cuts of my life- and I have had a lot of hair cuts, I mean I keep it short and so go really often. I just dont understand. I think living in the middle of no where has a big downfall...maybe, just maybe, the hair cuts will be better in Provo? Jeff says I should go in and complain. But I dont have the heart to do it to the poor young girl. It took her an hour- an entire hour to give me a hair cut and she didnt take much off, but the other hairdresser did hold and watch Jack. I liked it yesterday, but didnt have much time to look at it. I hated it today. She did flat iron it...so I guess now I will have to fork out the money for a flat iron to make this haircut halfway decent.

This is only the third time in my life I have actually cried. Jeff will tell you its ok, but I feel frumpy as it is and this just did me in.

Yea and Boohoos

Yea, our neighbor gave us around 300 sq feet of extra sod. We tacted it to the back of our yard. Boohoo...we still need about 550 more (about 150 dollars).

Yea, the bus shop has soo nicely put a stop down here next to the church. No more driving Brock back and forth and dealing with sleeping babies. Boohoo, Brock walks out of the door at 8:05 and doesnt walk back in til 3:55!!!

Yea, I got two new pairs of fat jeans and look great. Boohoo that I hemmed them by hand.

Yea, Jack slept 6 hrs straight last night...Boohoo he was up every 1.5 hours after that.

Yea, I got a nap today...boohoo I didnt get a shower.

Yea, Jack is getting fat...boohoo his hair seems to be lightening and turning blonde.

Random Things

Jack is getting pretty big, and is a very sweet baby. He will lay for long periods of time checking out his surroundings and especially loves looking at his crib bumper. He does prefer to lay there having cooing conversations wtih us or his brothers. Blake loves him to bits and pieces, but is abit rough. He just doesn't get that Jack cant be played with as rough as Brock can.

Blake, Jack and I walked to Von Carters house he is building one block away across from the church. With Blake it took 20 minutes (It should have taken ummm 3)! I think the house is adorable- no pressure Dad! I also attached a few pics from the walk there and back.

We did a bit of rearranging the other day. Nothing too fancy. We moved the rug from under the table to the living room (I was sick of cleaning all the spots in front of the couch). We also moved the table abit. I find it much nicer. Most of you could care less, but Mom said she wanted pics.

Sleep?

Now that Blake has been moved to the bottom bunk putting him to bed has become a challenge. We still rock him in Jack's room for awhile and if he doesn't fall asleep in the 15 minutes he is laid down awake in bed and forced to cry it out. Some nights he falls asleep without a peep (which is a relief to Brock who must endure the crying). With Blake's unwillingness to fall asleep as well as he once did, both boys are going to bed much later then before and with our latest colds, are both tired. Now being tired is something I know alittle something about. I have to admit that Jack would have a much better night time schedule if it weren't for me. I pick him up and nurse him and awake an hour or two later with him happily asleep cuddled with me on the bobby in the rocking chair. I just cant keep myself awake.

I have decided Jack is slightly tongue tied. He cant stick his tongue outside of his mouth. It doesnt seem to affect his nursing so I will have the doctor look at it at his next appt. It is pretty funny to see him try to lick his lips and see that his tongue cant come out.

Well today was Brocks 1st day of school. He managed to ride the bus to and from for the first time and get hot lunch successfully. He did give the lady a 5 and she kept the whole thing, so I assume we now have a credit...I hope. He only has 2 kids from his kindergarten class in 1st grade and one of them is the boy Brock called the "mean kid" cause he was soo bossy and pushy....well I hope Brock will make new friends and can stay out of the "mean kids" way. He did say he loved 1st grade so much and cant wait to go back.

The job search has been cruddy lately. There are weeks and months that just produce better jobs to apply and more interviews. I guess though, the last almost four months could all be considered cruddy since we haven't found a job yet. When I pray I feel an end is near (lets hope it is real revelation and not just my hopes).
